63 MILLION Constipated People!!
While this statistic was quite startling to my 20 year old "Regular" body I do have compassion for those who are having trouble with bowel movements but I am here to say that there is a solution! There is a cause and there is a solution! While there are many factors that influence constipation diet is one of it's greatest perpetrators and the alteration of a couple foods can make a world of difference.

Regularity comes from fiber and the addition of 20-30 extra grams of fiber can do a world of diference! Fiber has also been shown to reduce the risk of cancer as well as cholesterol. Combating constipation is almost as simple as that but not quite. Once the fiber is ingested water is needed to carry it through the system. 75 % of Americans are dehydrated and water is absolutely necessary for all aspects of life, especially regularity! The combination of america's average consumption of a mear 14 grams of fiber a day with very little water to lubricate the body has created on great constipated spiral in the wrong direction.
So what in the world is the solution to such a simple yet uncomfortable problem?
Its simple, drink 8 glasses of water daily and atleast 40 grams of fiber daily.
