Enhance Blood Is it possible that an enzyme can clean up or purify the blood?

When you look at it from the simplest perspective it makes sense. It is a known fact that fungal forms, parasites and bacteria are made up of protein, and the shell that protects a virus in our bodies is in fact a protein coating.
The enzyme protease breaks down proteins and since the invaders of our blood system are protein, it would make sense that ingesting protease on an empty stomach would help purify the blood of protein invaders. An empty stomach is suggested since the protease would not have to be held in the digestive system to digest food protein.

Enzymes in general deliver nutrients, carry away toxic wastes, digest food, purify the blood, deliver hormones by feeding and fortifying the endocrine system, balance cholesterol and triglyceride levels, feed the brain and cause no harm to the body. All of these factors contribute to the strengthening of the immune system.

As my mom goes into year 6 of surviving breast cancer I go into my first year of experiencing it with her. It has been a long journey but it really only gets better. Even when it seems to be getting worse on the surface on a deeper level it gets better and better. Although I do not have this draining disease thats slowly but surely trying to eat away my moms will to live I know how brutal it is. I know because I see it and feel it every day. Cancer is emotional and emotions are more contagious than poison ivy. When my mom wakes up in agony I feel it and the one thing that keeps me going is my health. I am so blessed to have my health and this is something that too many of us take for granted. To maintain my vitality in the midst of emotional turmoil I drink my green smoothies, I get my heart pumpin', and I spend as much time as I can in nature. Health and vibrance is an investment that gives the greatest return imaginable.

As I try to incorporate green smoothies into my diet, I realize just like everyone else, that we all have great intentions of taking action towards health.  However, old habits still creep in and pulls us away from the new habits that we are trying to establish as I take on the 21-Day Smoothie Challenge.  Though I have incorporated green smoothies into my diet, I find that once in a while, I crave eating some real solid foods like bread or rice.  However, by taking on the green smoothie challenge, I have incorporated fresh greens and fruits in my diet at least 3-5 times a week now that I would not have done before the green smoothie challenge.  On days that I drink my green smoothie, I feel so much lighter and more energize and I think having green smoothies also help me cleanse my system too.  I can relax a little bit about not gaining weight since the green smoothie meals days help offset the days that I enjoy my pasta, bread or rice meals.  I really like that it's so easy to make and I can drink any leftover for dinner if I want to skip a heavy meal.  Did you know that it's best to stop eating after 7pm to help your body do other healing work while you're sleeping instead of trying to digest the food you just ate before gonig to bed?

If you'd like to check it out, we have some recipes on our website.  Another great website to look into for more recipes and just more information about green smoothies, go to www.greensmoothiechallenge.com.

Here's one recipe that you can do in the morning that I put together...

One Banana
1 cup almond milk
1 cup filtered water
1 cup fresh berries that is in season
4 romaine lettuce leaves
3-4 carrots
1 tsp  ground flax seeds if you like
Optional: 1 tbsp honey or any protein powder that you enjoy

Blend everything and enjoy.  The longer it sits, it gets thicker because the veggies and fruits absorb water and that's why they are great for your digestion.  If it's too thick, just add more water to get the consistency you want.  Feel free to experiment.

As my mom gets a little farther in her quest to healing stage 4 breast cancer everything in her life changes. From her finances to her relationships, to her emotions everything is shifting and above all her perception is shifting. Today I interviwed her and she told me something that you wouldn't expect a cancer "victim" to say and the words struck me so hard that I don't know if I will ever be able to say the word cancer in the same sentence as victim ever again.

"Cancer has been the best and healthiest thing that has ever happened in my life" are the words that stumbled out of her mouth as she sat there in gratitude. How in the world can someone physically suffering from a disease that has broken her life down to the core say something like that! and mean it?? This gratitude seemed a bit out of place given the circumstances so out of justified curiosity I probed........

According to Dr. William Li the life force that sustains cancer is angiogenesis and there is a way to stop it! Angiogenesis is the process that creates new blood vessels and when this process gets distorted cancer can very easily be the result. Luckily cutting off cancers feeding tube may just be as simple as starving its blood vessels with anti-angiogenic foods.

As a cancer researcher this idea was too good to be true for me but it then got a little better when I saw the food list. The tasty combination that can be made with these foods are infinite!

Here is Dr. William Li's anti-angiogenic food list:

Eat Up and starve that cancer!

For the last two years I have been striving to drink 1/2- 1 gallon of water every single day and my life has been completely changed because of it. Water is the pillar of health!  The human body is about 60-70 % water, the brain and muscles are about 75 % water and our blood is about 92 % water! We are fluid beings and if we don't replenish and refresh our fluids on a regular basis we will grow old and wither...much much quicker.

While I often go a day or two of every week consuming less than enough water, the moment I remember that I am dehydrated I can instantly pin point why my energy level is low. Water is extremely revitalizing and here are a few of the benefits of flooding your body with water.

1. Weight Loss
2. Healthier Skin
3. Washes away constipation
4. Mood up lifter
5. Reduces risk of cancer
7. Headache remedy

& Much much more!

Bring a nice full water bottle wherever you go and drink up!

There are infinite reasons to fill your pantry and fridge with more organic foods.
Studies are being cunducted accross the globe and they all seem to be coming up
with similar findings. To simplify the latest research in a few words...

                               Pesticides Are Definitely BAD

The consequences of ingesting pesticedes are painful and lethal.
In China, it's estimated that 500,000 people suffer pesticide poisoning annually, and some 500 of them die.
Recent studies done at Harvard suggest that pesticide exposure will not only increase the increase the risk of ADHD in children but double it!
And speaking about our children, here is a short list of the impacts pesticides have on fetuses:

  • Fetuses, (pre-birth babies), may suffer from exposure and exhibit behavioral problems, growth issues
  • Lower cognitive scores, fewer nerve cells and lower birth weight
  • A lower resistance to the toxic effects of pesticides
  • A greater risk (70% increase), for Parkinson's disease, even with low levels of pesticides
  •

The list of the harmful effects of pesticides goes on and on but

In the last two years my household has gradually increased our organic produce purchases from about 10 % to 100%. Do we feel any better??
YES! Not only can we sleep better at night knowing that toxic substances were not the secret ingredient in our salads at dinner but we're also so much more vital than we were before going organic. The day you make the commitment to go organic (whether gradually or rapidly) everything will begin shifting and before you know it your health and vitality will become the priority it always should have been.
